Demonware has offices in Dublin, Ireland; Vancouver, Canada; and Shanghai, China, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc.

Team Summary

The app platform team in Demonware is responsible for the libraries and tools with which other teams build game-facing products and services. We deal with the difficult challenge of making online service development easier for our colleagues and customers in Demonware and elsewhere in Activision.

Responsibilities

We have an opening in our Dublin office to join our app platform team. As a part of this team you will be expected to work on a broad and challenging set of software engineering problems. As a team we design and develop new features to enable faster and easier service development in our data centers. We also aid with deployment of the technology we develop, and support our customer-facing teams as they roll-out new features to our game studio partners, and provide support and consultancy to our colleagues around the world. You would be expected to fully participate in all these activities.

We expect all team members to participate in contributing to, and reviewing designs from other teams throughout Demonware. We especially have a need for someone with a strong background in working with databases to help us improve the ease of use of our database libraries for other teams, and provide high-performing, easy to maintain database features.
